With respect to MS SQL access, can KoolReports access 32 and 64-bit versions? #3347

I have two databases with information I want to merge into one report. One MS SQL database is 64-bit and the other one is 32-bit.

With MS SQL Studio tools, I have to jump through a bunch of hoops just to make it work with SQL Server Integration Services. Microsoft doesn't make a tool that accesses both without professional DBAs to help.

I am hoping I can avoid all that with KoolReport. When KoolReport is directed to gather data from MS SQL, does it matter if the source database is 32-bit or 64-bit?

Thanks.

I would like to add one clarification: I am using Ubuntu to host KoolReport and access MS SQL. Is that even possible?

Scott, as long as you can install PHP drivers for your SQL Server 32-bit and 64-bit on your Ubuntu to pull data from you can use KoolReport with either or both of those databases. Here're the official guides:

https://github.com/Microsoft/msphpsql?tab=readme-ov-file#install-unix

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/connect/php/installation-tutorial-linux-mac?view=sql-server-ver16

If you have trouble installing drivers let us know your Ubuntu, SQL Server versions and error messages.
