please let me know, if you need more input on the same.

Thanks you.

Do you use charts in your excel export or just tables?

Any performance issue will occur, if we export excel file with chart?

Sebastian Morales commented on May 30, 2022

Pure table export would certainly be faster. You can even export huge data (millions of rows) to CSV in very short time and import them into excel programs, databases. With charts, you would be limited by time and memory. However, even with charts you can export tens of thousands of rows to excel with no problem. Rgds,

Thanks for input. i) XLSX file have any limitations(means max columns and rows)?
ii) File download is happens in backend process right?

1 . There's no limitation by the export function itself. It's just limited by your PHP maximum memory and execution time.

2 . Yes, excel file export and download are server side processing.
